Residential Enfranchisement Senior Associate (Part-time)

An outstanding opportunity has arisen at our client, a leading Top 20 national City law firm for a part-time Residential Enfranchismenent Solicitor to join in March for 13 months on a FTC basis. This can be 3 or 4 days a week, and has arisen to cover maternity leave.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join an award-winning Residential Estates team with a national presence, to be based in the firms‘ London office.
The Role
The firms‘ highly successful and established Real Estate team acts for many landed estates, charities and property investment companies who require all manner of asset management and landlord and tenant legal services.
You will work on the other side of top City firms and High Net Worth West End practices, dealing with top-quality work for a highly impressive client base.
Your background
The successful individiual will be an experienced Residential Transactional Enfranchisement Solicitor (ideally 6 PQE+) to support and supervise team members and provide a client management role to assist in servicing residential key accounts with:
* Experience dealing with statutory lease extension claims under the Leasehold Reform Housing and Urban Development Act 1993 (lease extensions and collective claims) and Leasehold Reform Act 1967
* Drafting and negotiating leases and transfers
* Experience drafting and advising on residential tenancies including assured shorthold tenancies and familiarity with the Tenant Fees Act 2019 as well as Rent Act 1977
* Experience dealing with licences to alter, licences to assign and deeds of variation
* Some knowledge of rights of first refusal under the Landlord and Tenant Act 1987 is desirable but not essential
