Taylor Root is working with a world-leading, early-stage business within the data/intelligence space who aim to improve biodiversity and our impact on nature.

Our client is looking to take on a newly-qualified/junior lawyer who can support them over an exceptionally busy next 6 months. They are looking for someone on a part-time, 3 days per week basis.

Reporting into the CFO, this role will involve working on a range of corporate and commercial legal matters. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing support on fundraising: supporting the due diligence process and communications with shareholders.
  • Handling commercial contract negotiation.
  • Working with the sales team and providing training to improve efficiencies between legal and the business.
  • Working with external counsel to support on the incorporation of entities in new territories.

This is a terrific role, where the incumbent will gain a huge amount and breadth of exposure. It would really suit someone coming either from private practice or in-house, who’s ideally had a corporate seat during their training contract.

Experience required:

  • Qualified solicitor in England & Wales, or a common-law jurisdiction
  • Available asap
  • Someone who’s a strong communicator, is proactive and commercially aware
  • Someone who’s highly organised with strong attention to detail

The business are based in Surrey, and ideally would like someone to come in 2/3 days per week.
