Group Director of Legal Services
A fast-growing group of companies within the medical devices sector is seeking a Group Director of Legal Services to join their organisation. The Group is a leader in providing specialist products and services to healthcare markets globally.
About the role:
As Sole Legal Counsel you will be responsible for providing high level legal advice and company secretarial support to the Group. Working as part of the senior executive team at a strategic level, you will ensure best practice in governance and risk management. The successful candidate will be key in influencing informed decision-making at all levels.
Key responsibilities will include drafting and negotiating a wide range of documentation and agreements including distribution agreements. Managing the majority of the Group’s intellectual property portfolio. In addition to managing the legal aspects of the Group’s real estate portfolio to ensure timelines are met. As well as ensuring compliance with the company’s governance and policies.
About you:
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 10 PQE, having trained either in a top UK law firm or in-house. Ideally you have experience of working in a commercial in-house environment. Previous experience gained in the medical devices industry, manufacturing and multi-jurisdictional experience would be highly advantageous. This role would suit someone who is commercially astute and who thrives in a complex and high performing environment.
