Corporate Paralegal – US firm – London
Taylor Root is working with an Elite US law firm in their search for an experienced Paralegal to join their leading Corporate team in London. This role is full time and will be offered on a permanent basis.
The Firm
Our client is one of the preeminent US law firms in London, having established a substantial practice in the UK and Europe over the last 50 years. The firms‘ principal areas of work are mergers & acquisitions, private equity, capital markets, banking, WCC, and litigation & arbitration. They are recognised via the Legal 500 as market leaders in all aforementioned areas of law.
The Team
The firms corporate team cover both private equity transactions and mergers & acquisitions. They are often advising on international/cross border transactions that will dominate world news and represent clients in high end M&A that often value in the billions. Recent experience includes representing a large asset manager in its £9.1 billion acquisition of a real estate investment trust and represented a large gaming company in its acquisition by a competitor worth £13.9 billion.
The Role
You will be assisting the team on various transactions where you will provide support from start to finish. This will include:
- Work on matters for the firm’s biggest clients.
- Manage entity formation processes and prepare, revise and maintain formation documents, resolutions, bylaws, organization charts and transaction documents.
- Attend internal and client calls and follow up with action points.
- Assist with KYC workstreams.
- Assist with uploading information to an internal database.
- Work independently and manage own workload.
- Manage and meet tight deadlines.
The Ideal Candidate
You will have at least 9/12 months of prior experience working in another leading corporate team with a focus on mergers & acquisitions, private equity or banking. This experience will have been gained with another leading US firm, or top UK city law firm.
