An international professional services firm is seeking a Data Governance Manager in their Cayman Islands office to support its data governance framework and records management initiatives. Reporting to the Head of Data Governance, this role is part of the Risk, Information Security and Audit team and involves collaboration across multiple business functions.

Key responsibilities:
- Enhance and maintain data governance and records management policies
- Implement the data governance framework, working with stakeholders across business, tech, operations and risk functions
- Develop data catalogues, classification methodologies and lifecycle management processes
- Provide training and awareness programs on data governance
- Establish reporting metrics for governance oversight and regulatory compliance
- Advise on strategic projects and transformation programs
- Conduct validation and monitoring to align with industry standards like ISO 15489
Key requirements:
- 5+ years in data governance, records management, or compliance
- Industry certifications (e.g., IGP, CDMP, CIMP)
- Expertise in data security, privacy laws (GDPR, CCPA, etc.) and governance best practices
- Experience in financial or professional services
- Understanding of cybersecurity concepts (e.g., SOC, data loss prevention)
