Our client, a top-tier international City law firm, is seeking a Senior Associate to join their dynamic team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a talented individual to lead and negotiate transactions, provide expert legal advice, and play a pivotal role in the firm’s growth.

Role Overview:

  • Provide non-contentious corporate advice to insurers and other financial institutions
  • Areas covered: public and private M&A, business transfers, reinsurance, regulatory matters, joint ventures, and restructurings
  • Lead and negotiate transactions with limited supervision
  • Draft legal and regulatory advice with minimal amendments
  • Adopt a client-facing role
  • Supervise and develop junior associates and trainees

Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ PQE
  • Excellent academic credentials
  • Demonstrable experience in:
    • Insurance sector M&A and restructuring
    • Reinsurance
    • Part VII transfers
    • Regulatory advice to insurers and/or other financial institutions
  • Ability and drive to work on bespoke, big-ticket, and complicated transactions
  • Experience working on behalf of banking or other financial institutions would be highly beneficial
