Trade Compliance Officer

Reporting into senior compliance and legal leadership, the Trade Compliance Officer will act as a key advisor across the organization, bridging regulatory requirements with operational realities.

You will be instrumental in both designing the compliance landscape and ensuring its day-to-day effectiveness in a fast-evolving, international setting.

Key Responsibilities:

· Act as the go-to specialist for trade compliance matters across the business, covering strategic, operational, and technical aspects

· Serve as the primary interface with relevant regulatory authorities in the Netherlands

· Develop and embed policies, procedures, and controls that form a scalable global compliance framework

· Lead compliance activities locally while contributing to broader international initiatives

· Provide clear, pragmatic advice to senior stakeholders on compliance risks and regulatory developments

· Implement monitoring processes and reporting structures to ensure ongoing compliance effectiveness

· Support business-critical projects, including geographic expansion and corporate growth initiatives, from a compliance perspective

· Champion a culture where compliance is viewed as a business enabler rather than a constraint

About you:

Experience & Skills

· Solid experience (typically 5-10 years) within compliance, legal, or regulatory roles

· Strong working knowledge of EU and Dutch trade compliance and export control regulations

· Background in a technology-driven or manufacturing environment, ideally within a high-growth setting

· Demonstrated experience establishing or enhancing compliance frameworks and processes

· Ability to interpret technical products and components through a regulatory lens

· Confidence engaging with senior stakeholders and influencing decision-making

· Pragmatic approach, balancing risk management with business objectives

· Comfortable operating in an environment where structures are still evolving

· Fluency in English and Dutch
