Tax Associate (1-4 PQE) – Elite US Law Firm – Central London

About the Firm

An elite US law firm is looking to grow its London tax team as part of a broader, well‑established international platform. The firm advises on complex, high‑value transactions for corporates, financial institutions, private equity sponsors and asset managers, with the London office playing a central role in cross‑border matters.

The team works closely with corporate, private equity, finance and capital markets colleagues on sophisticated domestic and international transactions.

The Role

This opportunity sits within a busy tax practice advising on UK and international tax matters in connection with major transactions and ongoing advisory work. The role offers exposure to a broad mix of matters, including corporate M&A, private equity, private capital, structured and asset finance, real estate transactions, financings and restructurings.

Associates are given early responsibility and work closely with senior lawyers on complex, market‑facing transactions, often involving multiple jurisdictions.

What They’re Looking For

  • 1-4 PQE with experience in transactional tax or a closely related practice.
  • Strong grounding in UK and international tax issues arising in a deal context.
  • Exposure to areas such as corporate M&A, private equity, private capital, structured or asset finance, real estate or restructurings.
  • Strong technical skills combined with a commercial and practical approach.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team on complex, high‑value matters.

The team is particularly interested in candidates towards the more experienced end of the range, but will consider strong junior profiles where there is a clear fit.

Why Apply?

This is an excellent opportunity to develop within a high‑quality tax practice advising on sophisticated, cross‑border transactions. The role offers varied work, meaningful responsibility and close collaboration with leading corporate and finance teams, alongside top‑of‑market remuneration and an attractive bonus scheme.
