The Opportunity

Our client, a leading international law firm with a highly regarded real estate practice, is seeking a Senior Associate to join its innovative virtual Real Estate team.

This is a unique opportunity to undertake market-leading, City-quality work while benefiting from a fully remote working model, lower billing targets than traditional London private practice roles, and a clearly defined career progression framework.

The team supports complex real estate matters across a broad range of sectors and works closely with colleagues across multiple UK offices. Lawyers benefit from structured development, regular training, mentoring, and genuine progression opportunities towards Counsel and Partner level.

The Team

The virtual Real Estate team combines legal expertise with innovative technology to deliver high-quality, cost-effective solutions across:

  • Corporate Real Estate
  • Real Estate Finance
  • Asset Management
  • Transactional Due Diligence
  • Insolvency-related real estate transactions

The team works collaboratively alongside established Real Estate practices across the UK, providing specialist support on both standalone matters and large-scale transactions.

While the role is fully remote, there are occasional opportunities for team meetings, training sessions and social events throughout the year, with associated travel expenses covered.

The Role

The successful candidate will focus on delivering execution excellence across a broad range of Real Estate transactions and portfolio work.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing and executing high-volume real estate transactions.
  • Supporting corporate real estate and property-led M&A transactions.
  • Advising on real estate finance matters.
  • Delivering asset management and landlord & tenant work.
  • Conducting and overseeing transactional due diligence exercises.
  • Supporting insolvency and restructuring-related property transactions.
  • Working independently while collaborating effectively with colleagues across the wider Real Estate team.
  • Contributing to knowledge sharing and the development of specialist expertise within the team.

Candidate Requirements

Applicants should have:

  • Qualification as a Solicitor in England & Wales.
  • Strong Real Estate experience gained within a recognised law firm.
  • Expertise in one or more of the following areas:
    • Real Estate Finance
    • Corporate Real Estate/M&A
    • Due Diligence
    • Asset Management
  • The ability to manage matters independently.
  • Strong commercial awareness and client-facing skills.
  • Excellent organisational and communication abilities.
