We are supporting a leading global consumer technology platform with the search for an Interim EMEA Commercial & Marketing Counsel to join its high-performing in-house legal team. This role has been created in response to a significant increase in regional marketing investment and activity across EMEA.
This is a hands-on, high-impact position supporting fast-moving creative, marketing and partnerships teams across multiple jurisdictions, with primary focus on the UK.
The role
Reporting into a Senior Legal Counsel within a collaborative EMEA legal team, you will act as a trusted business partner to marketing, communications and partnerships stakeholders, advising on a broad range of commercial and advertising matters in a dynamic, consumer-facing environment.
The role offers a high degree of autonomy and exposure to senior stakeholders, while remaining closely embedded within a supportive legal team.
Key responsibilities
· Advising on marketing and advertising law across EMEA, with a strong UK focus
· Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements, including creative and media agency agreements, sponsorship agreements, co-promotional and marketing partnership agreements, and influencer and talent contracts
· Supporting consumer communications, PR and high-profile cultural and brand campaigns
· Advising growth marketing and partnerships teams on new initiatives, including sports, major events and travel-related partnerships
· Reviewing and approving consumer-facing marketing materials and press communications under tight timelines
· Advising on consumer protection, advertising codes, intellectual property, claims substantiation, privacy and pricing issues
· Coordinating cross-border legal input for EMEA-wide campaigns and liaising with global legal counterparts
· Supporting the development and improvement of marketing and commercial templates, playbooks and processes
About you
· 5+ years’ PQE, with strong relevant experience gained in-house and/or at a recognised private practice
· Background advising on commercial, marketing and advertising matters for consumer-facing businesses
· Confident operating in a fast-paced, creative environment with senior stakeholders
· Commercial, pragmatic and solutions-focused, with the confidence to challenge and push back where required
· Comfortable working at pace and managing multiple priorities concurrently
· Able to work both autonomously and collaboratively within a legal team
· Qualified in the UK or another EU jurisdiction
· Additional European language skills advantageous but not essential

· Fully remote UK role, with occasional in-person meetings as required
· Initial onboarding period with close team support
