The Role
The successful candidate will join a leading disputes team focusing predominantly on commercial litigation (approximately 70%) with the opportunity to gain exposure to high-value arbitration work. Clients include multinational corporations, financial institutions, and industry leaders across sectors such as energy, natural resources, and financial services. Typical matters involve shareholder disputes, post-M&A claims, joint venture conflicts, contractual interpretation issues, and the enforcement of arbitral awards. Many cases are highly complex, multi-jurisdictional and of strategic importance to clients, often involving concurrent proceedings in multiple forums. You’ll work on High Court litigation, LCIA and ICC arbitrations, as well as enforcement and set-aside actions, delivering advice at the very highest standard.
What They’re Looking For
- 3-5 PQE qualified in England & Wales (or equivalent with strong English law expertise)
- Solid experience in commercial litigation; exposure to arbitration proceedings advantageous
- Familiarity with complex matters such as post-M&A disputes, warranty claims and enforcement of arbitral awards
- Exceptional analytical and drafting skills with an ability to deliver strategic, pragmatic advice
- Strong advocacy and communication skills for client-facing and court/arbitral work
- A collegiate, team-oriented approach with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced global environment
- High level of organisation and detail orientation, able to manage multiple priorities under pressure
