Commercial Legal Counsel
Leading professional services organisation seeks Commercial Legal Counsel to join its established in-house legal team. The role can be based in London or across the regions, with flexible and hybrid working available.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative Office of General Counsel, working as part of a highly regarded contracts team that supports the organisation’s service lines and business functions to enable growth while managing risk across a wide range of commercial relationships.
Offering a broad and varied spread of work, the role will involve drafting and negotiating commercial contracts with key clients, including master services agreements and public-sector framework agreements, as well as supplier, subcontractor and third-party agreements such as collaboration, reseller and sponsorship arrangements. You will also advise on international contracts, data-sharing agreements, secondment agreements, software supply contracts and other commercial contracting matters.
Working closely with client-facing partners, quality and risk teams and other internal stakeholders, you will help identify, assess and mitigate legal and commercial risk while supporting the delivery of excellent client service. The role will also involve keeping abreast of developments in contract law and professional liability, sharing knowledge with the team, delivering training and helping to leverage AI tools to improve ways of working.
You will be a qualified lawyer with over 3 years’ PQE strong commercial contracting experience. Experience within a professional services or similarly regulated environment would be advantageous, as would knowledge of data protection, intellectual property, public sector contracting and broader commercial risk management.
This will suit a pragmatic, commercially minded and solutions-focused lawyer with excellent drafting and communication skills. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who can manage competing demands, build strong stakeholder relationships and provide clear, practical advice in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
