£60,000 (3 days) | 6-month FTC | Fully remote with occasional travel

We are working with a high-growth, private equity-backed international business seeking an experienced Interim Senior Legal Counsel to support its EMEA operations. This is a senior, hands-on role within a lean legal team, offering broad exposure across commercial, governance and compliance matters.

This position is offered on a part-time basis (3 days per week) and is ideal for a commercially minded lawyer who enjoys operating autonomously in a fast-paced environment.

The Opportunity

  • Senior interim role supporting the EMEA General Counsel across a diverse legal remit
  • Fully remote, with 1-2 visits per month to a UK office (Midlands)
  • Opportunity to step into an established role and shape legal processes across a growing international business
  • Exposure to a dynamic, acquisition-led environment across the UK and Europe
  • Strong potential for extension or longer-term opportunities

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide pragmatic legal advice across a broad range of commercial matters, including supplier, logistics, SaaS and service agreements
  • Partner closely with senior stakeholders across multiple jurisdictions
  • Take ownership of a significant leased property portfolio
  • Act as a key liaison with external counsel across regions
  • Support and progressively take ownership of corporate governance and company secretarial matters
  • Drive compliance initiatives across areas including regulatory, sustainability and governance
  • Work closely with sustainability teams, particularly on evolving EU regulations and greenwashing risk
  • Assist with legal operations, including contract management systems and template development

About You

  • UK-qualified lawyer with strong private practice training and in-house experience
  • Proven ability to operate at a senior level within a small or lean legal team
  • Commercial, pragmatic and comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
  • Confident engaging with senior business stakeholders (including regional leadership)
  • Hands-on and adaptable – willing to support across both strategic and administrative tasks
  • Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills
  • Experience in sectors such as retail, logistics or FMCG is advantageous
  • Interest in compliance, governance and sustainability frameworks

The Environment

  • Private equity-backed business with ambitious growth plans
  • Collaborative but high-performance culture
  • Opportunity to make a meaningful impact and build structure in a scaling organisation
