Interim Legal Counsel (EMEA) – Part-Time (3 Days)
£60,000 (3 days) | 6-month FTC | Fully remote with occasional travel
We are working with a high-growth, private equity-backed international business seeking an experienced Interim Senior Legal Counsel to support its EMEA operations. This is a senior, hands-on role within a lean legal team, offering broad exposure across commercial, governance and compliance matters.
This position is offered on a part-time basis (3 days per week) and is ideal for a commercially minded lawyer who enjoys operating autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
The Opportunity
- Senior interim role supporting the EMEA General Counsel across a diverse legal remit
- Fully remote, with 1-2 visits per month to a UK office (Midlands)

Key Responsibilities
- Provide pragmatic legal advice across a broad range of commercial matters, including supplier, logistics, SaaS and service agreements
- Partner closely with senior stakeholders across multiple jurisdictions
- Take ownership of a significant leased property portfolio
- Act as a key liaison with external counsel across regions
- Support and progressively take ownership of corporate governance and company secretarial matters
- Drive compliance initiatives across areas including regulatory, sustainability and governance
- Work closely with sustainability teams, particularly on evolving EU regulations and greenwashing risk
- Assist with legal operations, including contract management systems and template development
About You
- UK-qualified lawyer with strong private practice training and in-house experience
- Proven ability to operate at a senior level within a small or lean legal team
- Commercial, pragmatic and comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
- Confident engaging with senior business stakeholders (including regional leadership)
- Hands-on and adaptable – willing to support across both strategic and administrative tasks
- Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills
- Experience in sectors such as retail, logistics or FMCG is advantageous
- Interest in compliance, governance and sustainability frameworks
