Senior Legal Counsel
We’re partnered with a startup in the bay area looking to add a senior legal counsel to their team. The role is ideal for someone with technical expertise and intellectual property experience who can provide strategic, business-oriented legal guidance across technology, IP, and commercial matters. This is a high-visibility position that reports into their CLO.
Responsibilities include the following (to name a few):
- Serve as a key legal partner to the engineering team, providing proactive guidance on IP, data rights, technology licensing, and regulatory/commercial considerations.
- Draft, review, and negotiate technology-related agreements, including software, vendor, and partnership contracts.
- Advise on intellectual property strategy, licensing, and protection of proprietary technology.
- Collaborate with product and operations teams on risk mitigation and product development considerations.
- Support corporate governance, commercial transactions, employment, and other general legal matters as needed.
They are ideally looking for someone to come into their Mountain View office a few days weekly. They are open to seeing candidates who are willing to relocate.
