Our client, a well-established and growing International Law Firm is seeking a proactive and dedicated Professional Development Manager who will play a crucial role in overseeing and enhancing the professional development of their fee earners across the region. This position offers a unique opportunity to work closely with practice leaders – regional and global, support talent initiatives, and contribute to a positive and productive workplace culture.

What you will be doing:

  • Collaborate with practice group leaders to manage associate work assignments, aligning client needs with individual development goals.
  • Monitor associate workloads and productivity metrics to ensure equitable task distribution and group efficiency.
  • Support the associate review process, facilitating timely, high-quality evaluations and helping associates implement feedback.
  • Partner with Legal Talent and other teams to streamline onboarding, hiring, and integration for new associates.
  • Work with Diversity, Inclusion, and Wellness teams to promote a supportive, inclusive environment and enhance associate well-being.

You must have:

  • At least 5 years (or more) in talent management, work allocation, or professional development at a large law firm or professional services organization, or a mix of professional development and legal practice experience in a large law firm.
  • Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English and Chinese (Mandarin & Cantonese)
