What you’ll be doing:
- Support legal due diligence for investment transactions, including project financings and offtake agreements.
- Review, draft and amend contracts related to trading frameworks.
- Conduct legal and policy research on regulatory developments related to corporate, financial services, and trading markets.
- Assist in preparation of internal corporate documents such as board resolutions, shareholder agreements, and service provider contracts.
- Monitor evolving laws, industry standards, and policy trends relevant to trading markets, financial regulation, and environmental commodities.
Who you’ll likely need to be in order to succeed:
Whilst there is a degree of flexibility, there are some core guidelines that make the backbone of the client expectations:
- England and Wales qualified, with a PQE guideline of at least 2+, and probably no more than 8 years.
- Specific carbon or commodities trading work, along with a generalist skill set across commercial, corporate, transactions, and / or financial services work.
- Exposure to financial services trading and regulated financial markets is ideal.
- Current UAE residence will be preferred but very suitable overseas applicants will also be considered.
- Strong interest and commitment to climate change initiatives.
