Leading financial services company requires a Deputy General Counsel to join expanding legal team.

You will be one of a number of Deputy GCs within the organisation, each responsible for a particular area.

This position falls within the group legal function, covering a wide variety of matters including but not limited to commercial contracts, procurement, data privacy, cyber and AI matters, HR support, global expansion plans, property issues, and general corporate advisory matters.

No two days will be the same in this position and you’ll be excited to juggle a number of projects and issues at any one time, and be comfortable managing issues you may not have come across before that may be outside of your comfort zone.

You’ll be well supported with direct reports and by external panel firms however will still be ‘on the tools’ and happy to roll up your sleeves and be involved in the detail of legal work.

You will be able to build excellent working relationships with senior stakeholders both internally and externally, and will bring some management experience to the table.

This position is based in Sydney’s CBD and is offered on a full-time hybrid working basis with 3 days in the office.

You’ll be working for a highly reputable organisation that offers an excellent working environment and above-market benefits.
