Our client, an elite US law firm is seeking a talented England & Wales qualified lawyer to join its London-based International Competition team as Counsel. This opportunity has arisen due to continued growth and increased workloads across the firm’s highly successful corporate practice.
The role will involve leading on transactional antitrust matters, including complex cross-border merger control and foreign investment reviews. The successful candidate will work closely with corporate teams on high-value M&A transactions and restructurings, and will be expected to take a lead role in client communications and strategic coordination across jurisdictions.

Candidate Profile
- England & Wales qualified competition solicitor with ideally 6-8 years’ PQE
- Experience in a leading US, Magic Circle or Silver Circle law firm
- Proven expertise in transactional antitrust, merger control (UK/EU), and foreign investment matters
- Comfortable leading calls and managing multi-jurisdictional filing processes
- Strong academic background; postgraduate competition law studies preferred
- Commercially minded and confident working directly with corporate teams
- Exposure to sectors such as financial services, private equity, energy, and technology desirable
- Foreign language skills and EU FSR experience advantageous but not essential
