Overview: A respected Baltimore-based law firm is seeking a skilled Commercial Litigation Attorney to join its litigation practice. This role is ideal for a candidate with strong deposition experience and a passion for strategic advocacy. The attorney will play a central role in managing depositions across a variety of complex commercial disputes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and conduct depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts
  • Prepare clients and witnesses for deposition and trial testimony
  • Draft and respond to discovery requests, motions, and pleadings
  • Develop litigation strategy in coordination with senior attorneys
  • Represent clients in hearings, mediations, and arbitrations
  • Manage caseload efficiently to meet billable hour requirements

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
  • Active Maryland Bar license in good standing
  • Minimum of 3 years of commercial litigation experience
  • Demonstrated expertise in deposition strategy and execution
  • Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

Performance Expectations:

  • Annual billable hour requirement: 1,650 hours
  • Commitment to high-quality client service and professional integrity
  • Timely and effective communication with clients and colleagues
