Global Regulatory Counsel
Leading global consultancy seeks Global Regulatory Lawyer to join their highly skilled global in-house legal team.
This is a newly created Associate Director position to join a supportive and dynamic team, in a strategic role to be the Regulatory legal lead on a broad range of UK and EU regulations, including but not limited to EU AI Act, NIS2, sanctions, ESG, modern slavery, DORA, horizon scanning for new developments and advising on all new potential compliance obligations, instructing on and working with external counsel and collaborating with colleagues in the Global team and across the international offices. There will be the opportunity to support across a range of business functions and be the regulatory legal lead on Europe and UK broadening out to other jurisdictions
This is a unique opportunity to have strategic input to shape and oversee the global regulatory function with excellent career progression and to join a collegiate, friendly and well-regarded legal team.
You will have over 10 years’ PQE with a UK or European legal qualification as a solicitor or qualified attorney and proven experience, ideally gained in-house, at a global organasition leading on regulatory projects, partnering with the business and compliance teams. A broad regulatory practice and a strong private practice grounding at a top tier City law firm is important.
This will suit a self-starter with gravitas, business acumen and who can improve processes across the international business. A calm and proactive attitude is important and the ideal candidate will be versatile, efficient, credible, persuasive, with the ability to prioritise and adapt to changing circumstances in a challenging, fast-paced environment.
