Commercial Property Solicitor – 6-month FTC
Our client, a leading international City law firm, is seeking a talented Commercial Property Solicitor on a 6-month fixed term contract basis, starting ASAP.
The Real Estate team has extensive experience in modern transactions, advising key market players including private equity sponsors, institutional investors, property companies, hotel owners, pension funds, occupiers, and developers. They offer legal advice across the entire spectrum of real estate and hospitality activities, including:
- Investment Transactions: Acquisitions and disposals of single assets and portfolios across all asset classes.
- Leasing Strategy: Corporate occupiers and asset management work.
- Corporate Real Estate: Purchases and sales of single-purpose vehicles and other corporate holding structures.
- Development: Site acquisition, local authority agreements, pre-lets, forward sale and funding, and construction procurement documents.
- Real Estate Finance: Borrower-side representation in loans for real estate assets, development financing, and other secured lending.
- Hospitality: Hotel purchases, sales, financing, development, management, franchise agreements, and restaurant acquisitions.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Drafting and managing various types of transactions, both independently and as part of a team.
- Revising documents and managing transaction execution.
- Handling conditions precedent, running checklists, and general transaction management.
- Developing and maintaining client relationships, managing expectations regarding options, outcomes, risk, and timescales.
- Liaising with opposing counsel, co-counsel, and local counsel as required.
Skills & Experience:
- Qualified Commercial Property Solicitor in England & Wales with 5+ PQE.
- Excellent technical and commercial skills, including document drafting and technical research.
- Strong client management and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple transactions and progress complex matters.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Good personal organisation and file management skills.
- Previous experience within a reputable US/UK/City law firm.
