You&#8217;ll work closely with senior stakeholders to support growth, improve processes, and embed legal more deeply into the business.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>The Role<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>You will act as the <strong>lead lawyer<\/strong>, operating in a standalone capacity while managing a junior team member and working closely with Sales and senior leadership.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key responsibilities include:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Leading the <strong>legal function<\/strong> on an interim basis<\/li>\n<li>Drafting, reviewing and negotiating <strong>commercial and SaaS contracts<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Supporting <strong>sales processes and deal negotiations<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Developing and improving <strong>contract templates and frameworks<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Acting as a <strong>trusted adviser<\/strong> to senior stakeholders<\/li>\n<li>Managing and mentoring a <strong>paralegal<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Liaising with <strong>external counsel<\/strong> where required<\/li>\n<li>Supporting the continued <strong>build\u2011out of the legal function<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>Candidate Profile<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>UK qualified lawyer with <strong>c.8+ PQE<\/strong> (flexible)<\/li>\n<li>Strong experience in <strong>commercial \/ technology contracting<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Background in <strong>SaaS, fintech, or high\u2011growth tech environments<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Comfortable operating in a <strong>lean, standalone role<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Commercial, pragmatic, and able to work at pace<\/li>\n<li>Confident partnering with <strong>sales and business stakeholders<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Experience managing or mentoring junior team members<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>Key Details<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Duration:<\/strong> 6 months<\/li>\n<li><strong>Working pattern:<\/strong> 3 days per week<\/li>\n<li><strong>Location:<\/strong> Hybrid &#8211; c.2 days per week in the London office (Canary Wharf)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Start:<\/strong> ASAP<\/li>\n<li><strong>Engagement:<\/strong> Open to both <strong>FTC and day\u2011rate<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333;font-size: 8pt\">Please note our advertisements use PQE\/salary levels purely as a guide.
