Our client, a publicly traded REIT in Los Angeles, is seeking a Real Estate Paralegal to join their legal department. This is a unique opportunity to join a company that prioritizes their employees, indicated by longevity across all departments but particularly in the legal department where the real estate and corporate legal team leads have each worked with the company for 20+ years. The Real Estate Paralegal will assist the legal department with a wide range of transactional real estate matters, including, but not limited to:

Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing existing leases and REAs, as well as performing due diligence reviews of new leases and REAs
  • Drafting template purchase and sale agreements, CC&Rs, REA and anchor lease amendments, etc.
  • Managing the title process, including placing title orders, reviewing title and survey matters, etc.
  • Handling escrow transactions
  • Managing the preparation and/or review and processing of estoppel certificates

Qualifications:

  • 3+ YOE as a real estate paralegal, either with a law firm and/or in-house
  • Paralegal certificate from an ABA approved school required
