Our client, an elite US City law firm is seeking to recruit a Private Equity M&A Counsel (6-8 PQE) into its leading Private Equity M&A practice in London. This is a standout opportunity for an experienced associate or counsel to join a top-tier transactional team offering a clear pathway to partnership.
The firm advises on complex, high-value cross-border transactions for sophisticated financial institutions, investment banks, private equity sponsors, and energy sector clients. The successful candidate will have a strong track record in private equity and M&A, with experience leading deal teams and managing client relationships.
You will be joining a high-performing team with access to some of the most significant mandates in the market. The role offers early leadership opportunities, strategic involvement in transactions, and the chance to work closely with senior stakeholders across the firm.
Candidate Profile
- Qualified Solicitor with 6-8 years’ post-qualification and strong experience in private equity and M&A
- Trained at a Magic Circle or elite US City law firm
- Strong academic credentials and excellent communication skills
- Proven ability to lead transactions and manage client relationships
- Experience advising energy clients or sophisticated financial institutions such as investment banks, institutional lenders, and other major investors is essential
