This is a rare opportunity to build and lead a critical function from the ground up within an operationally complex, asset\u2011heavy environment.<\/p>\n<p>The role sits at the centre of the business, working closely with legal, finance, operations, and senior leadership across a growing pan\u2011European network.<\/p>\n<h4>Key responsibilities<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>End\u2011to\u2011end ownership of the <strong>commercial insurance programme<\/strong> (property, cargo, liability, CAR, employer&#8217;s liability, W&amp;I)<\/li>\n<li>Broker and insurer management, renewals, coverage negotiation, and <strong>claims handling<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Leading <strong>insurance diligence and integration<\/strong> for M&amp;A transactions<\/li>\n<li>Designing and embedding an <strong>enterprise risk management framework<\/strong> tailored to cold chain operations<\/li>\n<li>Delivering operational risk assessments (temperature excursion, equipment failure, contamination, transport risk)<\/li>\n<li>Developing <strong>loss prevention, safety, and business continuity<\/strong> programmes<\/li>\n<li>Building and maintaining a multi\u2011country <strong>regulatory compliance framework<\/strong> covering H&amp;S, environmental, transport, and food safety<\/li>\n<li>Creating policies, training, reporting dashboards, and governance from scratch<\/li>\n<li>Reporting on risk, claims, compliance, and total cost of risk to senior leadership<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Candidate profile<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>7+ years&#8217; experience in <strong>insurance, risk, or compliance<\/strong> within logistics, transport, warehousing, or supply chain<\/li>\n<li>Strong track record managing <strong>complex commercial insurance programmes<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Experience building or scaling risk and compliance frameworks<\/li>\n<li>Confident communicator able to influence across operational and executive teams<\/li>\n<li>Professional insurance or risk qualification (CII, ACII, CPCU, ARM, CRM, or equivalent)<\/li>\n<li>Willing to travel across Europe (circa 50%)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Highly desirable:<\/strong> cold chain or temperature\u2011controlled logistics exposure, CAR insurance, W&amp;I insurance, food safety standards, or multi\u2011jurisdictional European experience.<\/p>\n<h4>Why apply?<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Founding role with genuine autonomy and influence<\/li>\n<li>Exposure to M&amp;A and international growth<\/li>\n<li>Supportive leadership team and strong operational culture<\/li>\n<li>Competitive package depending on experience<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333;font-size: 8pt\">Please note our advertisements use PQE\/salary levels purely as a guide.
