Real Estate Paralegal
Representing a leading real estate investment and development company, we are proud to be leading the search for a Real Estate Paralegal. This newly created role will support real estate transactions including acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, and financings.
This is a pivotal role offering the opportunity to influence processes, ensure compliance, and drive efficiency across complex transactions. As the Real Estate Paralegal, you will be responsible for:
- Leading the due diligence process for acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, and loans
- Preparing and maintaining detailed closing checklists and coordinating transaction timelines
- Managing all aspects of the closing process, including document review, internal approvals, and post-closing binders
- Ordering and reviewing title reports, ALTA surveys, zoning reports, and resolving related issues
- Drafting and reviewing ancillary documents such as NDAs, estoppel certificates, and lease abstracts
- Supporting entity formation and maintenance, including obtaining certificates of good standing
- Providing notary services and assisting with administrative functions such as invoice processing and document filing
- Contributing to department initiatives and process improvements
To be successful in this role our client is looking for a:
- Experienced real estate paralegal with at least five years of relevant experience
- Holder of an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree and ABA-approved paralegal certificate (or California equivalent)
- Professional with strong knowledge of real estate transactions and ability to manage due diligence and closings independently
- Highly organized individual with excellent communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office, DocuSign, and related tools
- Notary public or willingness to obtain certification; familiarity with Legal Tracker, YARDI, and Ironclad is a plus
