Position Overview:
As a Non-Contentious Construction Associate, you will play a pivotal role in advising clients on a wide range of non-contentious construction matters. From drafting and negotiating contracts to providing strategic advice and risk management solutions, you will be instrumental in supporting our clients’ construction projects across a range of sectors including commercial, retail, energy, urban regeneration and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating non-contentious construction contracts, including design and construction agreements, procurement contracts, and development agreements.
Conducting due diligence reviews and risk assessments for construction projects, identifying potential legal issues and providing proactive solutions.
Collaborating closely with clients, project teams, and external stakeholders to ensure the successful execution of construction projects while mitigating legal risks.
Advising on a range of procurement routes.
Keeping abreast of developments in construction law and industry best practices to provide informed and strategic advice to clients.
Taking part in a range of business development activities to help develop the Manchester practice.

Qualifications:

Qualified Solicitor with a minimum of 2 years PQE in Non-Contentious Construction Law.
Strong understanding of non-contentious construction contracts, procurement methods, and industry standards.
Excellent drafting and negotiation skills, with the ability to draft clear and comprehensive legal documents.
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong client relationships and work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
