Contracts Manager – EMEA
This is an exciting opportunity to join a robust and growing international legal function.
You will support operations in the EMEA region in carrying out the mission of reducing risk, improving decision-making, and enhancing internal stakeholder relations by world-class management of contracts and commercial/legal related information. You will be the main person managing the legal shared inbox and escalating matters to the relevant Senior lawyers whilst also amending and contracts such as NDA’s and MSA’s and other legal documentation as you become more exposed to the business.
This is a fast paced, commercially focused and highly collaborative environment, working with various business units, clients and service providers. You will act as a trusted contract manager throughout the business units at various levels of seniority and act as a buffer between the wider business and lawyers to improve efficiencies and relationships.
You will report to the Regional Managing Counsel for EMEA, based in London.
Responsibilities
With your expertise and knowledge, you will provide support to the business in various countries located in the EMEA region.
- Managing business contract queries
- Tracking contract obligations and compliance status
- Recording and managing key information about contracts
- Collecting and filing contracts and related documents
- Monitoring and managing the shared legal mailbox for the team.
- Advising, so reviews and approvals can be carried out in accordance with group policies and procedures
- Drafting and reviewing certain contract types – NDA’s & MSA’s and some other contracts such as supplier agreements.
- Supporting the connection between business people and the Legal Department, to maintain a client focussed approach
- Providing information to business representatives and legal counsels about contracts

What you’ll need:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as a contract manager/analyst/administrator, handling complex client/customer contracts, supplier contracts including subcontracts and other contracts such as teaming/partnering agreements and NDAs
- University’s degree, preferably in a business or legal discipline, or other relevant experience as contract manager or a career paralegal.
- Cross-jurisdictional experience and a well-developed understanding of key commercial, contract and risk management issues, including the compliance and regulatory aspects relevant to an international company and global business
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills (and any languages in addition to English would be an advantage)
- Professional demeanor and sensitivity to client relationships
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a high paced environment
- Be able to work collaboratively as part of a team, but also able to work independently
- Ability to work in cross-functional and international teams
- Be proactive and take the lead when necessary
- Maintain a creative and pragmatic approach to problem-solving
- Be professional, calm under pressure, well-organised, proactive, able to grasp concepts quickly and meet challenging deadlines
- Be well versed with MS office suite programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.); experience with contract management applications a plus

Working arrangements: Ideally 1-3 days week in the London office (you can benefit from good flexibility)
