TMT Legal Counsel (Manager Level), 12+ PQE
We are delighted to be partnering with a global professional services company with expertise in technological offerings and operations. They are looking for an experienced IP/IT lawyer with cross-border M&A experience ideally from a similar or relevant industry.
You will be joining a team of lawyers who offer legal, commercial, and contractual advice to support the company’s operations. The team works to identify and manage legal and business risks that may arise during the negotiation process, at the same time educating and providing training to non-legal stakeholders and juniors.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Manage complex transactional negotiations and deal formation whilst balancing business risk and client objectives
- Simplify legal concepts and provide sound legal guidance to business stakeholders
- Develop internal guidelines and knowledge resources on specialized legal and commercial topics
- Mentor and assist junior colleagues in their professional development by offering guidance, training, and support
Requirements:
- LLB or JD from a recognized University and qualified to practice in a common-law jurisdiction
- Minimally 12 PQE ideally gained from a mix of top tier law firms and in-house capacity, preferably from a managed/cloud service provider, SAAS firm, Systems Integrator or Consultancy
- Cross-border M&A experience is essential in this position, as well as exposure to dealing with Intellectual Property and Data Privacy matters would be strongly advantageous
- Prior team management experience would be preferred
