The Role
This role sits within a dedicated technology transactions practice advising on the commercial, intellectual property and data elements of sophisticated transactions. The work is highly transactional in nature and typically linked to private equity investments, acquisitions, carve-outs and business separations. The focus is not general corporate M&A, but the technology, IP, data and outsourcing aspects that underpin complex deals. Matters are often cross-border and require close collaboration with wider corporate and finance teams.
Requirements
- Experience in technology transactions, IP-focused commercial work or complex outsourcing and commercial contracts.
- Background advising on technology, IP or data issues in transactional or quasi-transactional contexts.
- Strong drafting skills with the ability to negotiate and manage sophisticated commercial documentation.
- Comfortable running workstreams with a high degree of autonomy in fast-paced deal environments.
