A FTSE100 retailer known for its strong brand values and employee focused culture is experiencing continued financial success and looking to appoint a senior technology lawyer to head up the legal team for its technology and procurement division.

As Senior Legal Counsel sitting on the leadership team and with management responsibility for a team of six lawyers will have a high level of internal and external visibility. Working with the CTO you will ensure the delivery of Technology contracting, licensing and development. The work the team undertakes includes domestic and international services transactions, Statements of Work relating to cloud services, maintenance agreements and renewals, software license agreements and non-disclosure agreements. You will also advise the telecoms and procurement parts of the business on a variety of issues, leading the team of specialist lawyers in these areas.

Ideally you will be a UK Qualified lawyer with 12-15 years PQE and have trained in a top tier private practice firm. In-house experience is essential and ideally in a listed business. Strong team management and leadership skills will be essential, and you will need to be highly adaptability to new areas. You must love technology and be excited to lead this function.
