Taylor Root have worked with this client numerous times over 10+ years. They have come to us again to help them find a new Senior Legal Counsel to add to their Dubai or Riyadh legal teams. As a market leading developer, they have an array of impressive projects across the Middle East, Africa, and beyond.
Joining as a Senior Legal Counsel, and part of a leading projects team, you’ll be working on world class deals. Here are some of the headline elements and needs:
Role and responsibilities:
- Assist business units with bid-submissions and financial closings.
- Work with financing institutions and lenders’ counsel.
- Provide coaching and mentoring to junior team members.
- Identify legal risks and issues and suggest ways to mitigate them.
- Develop, update, and maintain project finance agreements.
- Interact with senior management regarding legal matters.
Candidate requirements:
- You’ll ideally need to be a project finance lawyer with around 4-10 years of PQE.
- It’s essential that you’ve worked in an international law firm environment.
- It’s possible that broader finance lawyers might also fit, but you’ll need to have very strong transactional deals.
- Exposure to utilities, O&G and heavy industry is very important.
- No need to be based in the Middle East right now, but strong common law jurisdiction experience is important.
