Senior Legal Counsel (Commercial/Corporate)
CORPORATE/COMMERICAL – CLEAN ENERGY TECHNOLOGY
My client is a well-funded, AIM-listed leading developer of clean energy technology, enabling the world’s most progressive companies to develop clean energy at the scale and pace needed to decarbonise industry and everyday living. As the business grows and enters a period of commercialisation they require a Senior Counsel with a solid commercial and corporate skill set, gained in a technology or software environment.
The successful candidate will draft, review and negotiate a wide array of commercial and corporate agreements, including procurement, licensing, joint venture, collaboration, research, development, services and non-disclosure agreements, and will provide day-to-day pragmatic support and guidance to the business and all departments. You will also support business growth plans via significant transactions, projects and advisory work arising from the exploitation of the research and development, in a fast paced and varied working environment.
Since IP pervades every aspect of the company with technology at its heart, the role will ideally require a knowledge of IP and how it transpires throughout their agreements.
You will be required to have at least 5+ PQE with a proven track record of leading on or providing significant contribution to the successful completion of numerous transactions or projects. Commercial and corporate skill sets are a must and IP licensing experience is desirable but not essential. You will have worked in a technology-rich environment and be unafraid, if not excited by technology, innovation and commercialisation.
