Our client, a highly regarded global City law firm is seeking a Senior Employment Associate to join their London team on a 12-month fixed term contract basis to cover maternity leave. You will work very closely with all of the Partners in the Employment practice, handling a mix of contentious, non-contentious, and some corporate support work.

Role Overview:

  • Support Partners in all aspects of employment law, including Employment Tribunals and High Court litigation.
  • Involvement in cross-border projects such as restructurings and compliance initiatives.
  • Advise clients in a practical and commercial manner to support their strategic objectives.
  • Manage complex employment matters and client relationships with minimal supervision.

Desirable Skills and Experience:

  • Ideally 5+ PQE with employment experience gained at a highly law firm.
  • Experience in handling complex employment matters within a comparable environment.
  • Proficiency in restrictive covenant injunctions, delivery up applications, and employee competition issues is advantageous.
  • General employment advisory experience.
  • Desire to work in a truly international firm with a clear understanding of the structure and operation of commercial law firms.
  • Flexibility to support cases across a broad range of employment issues.
  • Proven negotiation skills and ability to manage aspects of complex matters.
  • Initiative and confidence built upon solid success and achievements.
  • Effective liaison with fee earners from other disciplines and jurisdictions.
  • Delegation and supervisory skills where appropriate.
  • Commitment to business development, maintaining strong client relationships, and identifying new business opportunities.
  • Dedication to continuous improvement and technical expertise.
