An exciting position has arisen with a well-known international Hotel Group. They are seeking a talented Senior Legal Counsel to join their team in London.

Responsibilities will include drafting and negotiating hotel management, franchise and lease and related agreements This position will require an ability to deal with a varied array of topics, including real estate development, debt and equity financing, franchise, licensing and management, joint ventures, risk-management, and many other issues. This position will require the ability to manage and negotiate complex transactions, work with owners, developers, franchisees, and lenders across different cultures. You will supervise outside counsel, understand local law issues and coordinate various issues, such as tax, employment law, insurance, data protection, compliance, intellectual property and design issues.

Applicants must have a strong academic background and 6+ pqe experience at a highly regarded law firm or reputable in-house legal team. Substantial experience of complex financing, joint ventures, M&A or real estate transactions and complex commercial or development transactions will be considered for this position. You will have knowledge and experience working with international laws and cross border transactions. Experience with franchising or hotel management agreements will be extremely beneficial but is not essential.

You will have the ability to work autonomously, think strategically and creatively and communicate clearly and precisely. You must be enthusiastic, proactive, enjoy working hard and being challenged, and demonstrate sound judgment. You will be able to work in a fast-paced environment and become an integral part of the legal team.
