Great opportunity for a senior commercial lawyer with at least 7 years PQE to join a highly regarded international law firm in Birmingham as part of their market leading Commercial Team.

The international Commercial Team works across the firm’s global offices advising household name clients on business-critical projects across the full spectrum of commercial contract work. The successful candidate will be joining a young, vibrant, dynamic and solutions-driven team who advise major household names across the globe. On offer will be first class training and experience working alongside Partners on a diverse portfolio of work including supply chain and outsourcing projects.

This role has arisen due to expediential growth and the new joiner will become part of a thriving commercial practice and have the chance to hit the ground running working on major projects with high profile clients including the likes of Tesco plc, Rolls-Royce plc and the Ministry of Justice as well as many PLCs, multi-nationals and entrepreneurial companies, retailers, Universities and education providers, cutting edge technology companies and sporting entities. There will also be opportunities to lead on transactions, manage team members and develop client relationships at the highest level. The successful candidate will be closely involved in the growth of the practice alongside the Partner and be offered a clear pathway for progression.

The ideal candidate will be a talented, tenacious, and ambitious Senior Associate with circa 7-10 PQE who is technically excellent, commercially astute, highly motivated and enthusiastic. A team player with a can-do attitude, a strong client focused approach and an ability to develop innovative solutions. A strong academic background coupled with excellent communication and organisational skills is also key together with good experience of supervising and working with junior colleagues and undertaking BD activities.

You will have trained and worked in a large commercial practice and be able to demonstrate an excellent track record of drafting and leading the negotiation of complex commercial contracts, including on an international basis. Ideally you will have experience of advising both public and private sector clients on large scale projects. A good understanding of the application of TUPE, data protection and intellectual property law in the context of long-term services supply and outsourcing agreements is also necessary.
