We are working with an international mining organisation who are looking for a CGI qualified Senior Assistant Company Secretary to join their team in London.

Reporting to the Head of CoSec, this role will focus on high-level transactions, joint venture management, bond issues, and tax restructurings. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of corporate governance and compliance, as well as the ability to manage complex legal and financial frameworks on an international scale.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Lead the department co-ordination and execution of corporate transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and partnerships
  • Assist with tax restructuring projects to ensure compliance with applicable laws and maximize financial efficiencyDevelop and implement policies and procedures to enhance the efficiency of corporate secretarial functions
  • Oversee the administrative aspects of bond issues and other financing arrangements

To be successful in this role, candidates will have:

  • A CGI qualification / be a qualified solicitor
  • 5+ years at a senior level within a company secretarial function of an organisation listed on a major stock exchange
  • Demonstrable experience working with joint ventures and mergers and acquisitions
