Resident Affairs – Director level role
Our client is an institution that offers a postgraduate/residency training program in the Southeast. They are looking for a director-level administrative professional to join their team and handle diverse matters related to residents who are in the program. Responsibilities cover helping residents in their pursuit of career opportunities, maintaining program compliance on multiple fronts, and navigating disciplinary issues that come up, to name a few. It’s important for this individual to have solid experience, 6+ years, handling such matters in their prior roles. This person can have a background working with professionals from various healthcare disciplines such as pharmacy, medicine, dental, physician assistants, etc., as long as they have key experience specifically in the postgraduate setting. This is a highly visible role that involves collaborating with multiple professionals such as the Program Director, Executive Team, Clinical Director, President and Board of Trustees in addition to the residents and fellows. This is not a residency Program Director position.
This is an on-site position, however, experienced applicants from anywhere in the US are encouraged to apply as long as they are open to a relocation to the Southeast.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Experience with OSHA, FERPA, and HIPAA regulations and maintaining compliance
- Experience with student handbook, student conduct/conflict resolution committees
- Must feel comfortable being point of contact for escalations in regards to residents
- Must also feel comfortable giving constructive feedback to residents
- Proactive, self-motivated mindset
- Enthusiasm for contributing ideas towards improving operational efficiency within programs (didactics, clinical experiences, etc.)
Nice to have:
- Master’s degree in education, healthcare, or JD/Juris Doctor
- Experience with CODA regulation
