Rare opportunity for a junior lawyer looking to specialise in projects and procurement work with leading sector-focussed Birmingham practice.

This role will involve working on a great mix of complex and interesting development, energy and leisure projects. Working for clients operating in the firms key sectors including; housing, charities, social businesses and local government.

This is a great time to join the team, which is the largest of its kind in the region, as they continue to build on their national profile in a bid to become the leading national firm with a social purpose.

As a junior member of the team you will get the chance to work with senior colleagues across the team and gain exposure to a variety of work including large scale regeneration projects, carbon reduction and energy schemes aimed at tackling fuel poverty reduction. These projects are high profile and often funded by the European Regional Development Fund. Other examples of recent work include advising on the building of new headquarters for national charities.

Applications are sought from bright and keen junior lawyers who have ideally gained some exposure to procurement or projects work during their training contract or post qualification. They will be able to demonstrate a clear desire to work within the firms sectors and deliver advice on projects that will have a clear impact on improving society.

The role will focus on primarily non-contentious projects but there will also be opportunities to support on litigation matters within the wider team.

This is a great role for a junior lawyer who wants to undertake challenging and rewarding work, with excellent training and support, and the chance to have a real input into their own career development. In return the successful candidate will enjoy client contact from day one, responsibility and autonomy, flexible working and a highly supportive and friendly working environment. Our client strives to ensure that its employers are highly motivated and fully supported in order to carry out their roles to the best of their abilities.
