This is a fantastic opportunity for a NQ pensions solicitor to join a leading national law firm with a highly reputable pensions team, based in Birmingham.

The successful candidate will have a 6 month seat in pensions together with a demonstrable interest in pensions law, in return you will be given the opportunity to work with a strong and driven team with their high-profile work for pension providers and work in relation to pension fund investment in infrastructure. The role will involve responsibility for your own caseload, as well as working closely with the partners and other senior members of the team on business development opportunities.

You will be afforded the opportunity to advise on a full range of pension law issues and as well as drafting consolidating/definitive trust deeds and rules, deeds of amendment and all the usual deeds that are required in the running of an occupational pension scheme. The successful candidate will work with the team to develop their expertise with all elements of pension law including auto-enrolment, equalisation, corporate sales/acquisitions, mergers and restructuring, dealing with the PPF, the Pension Ombudsman and the Pensions Regulator, as well as being willing to throw themselves into new technical areas.
