Paralegal – Insolvency, Derivatives & ISDA

Are you an experienced Paralegal with Insolvency, Derivatives and/or ISDA experience? Our client, an international law firm, is seeking a talented individual to join their team on a permanent basis. As a Paralegal within this team, you will be responsible for reviewing legal opinions, preparing review sheets, and contributing to final reports to clients of the firm. You will also be checking for updates to the rules published monthly by the Central Counterparty Clearing (CCP) Houses and maintaining a tracker of updated rules and documentation. In addition, you will be updating surveys containing some of the most commonly asked questions about CCPs and liaising with other international offices and external parties to coordinate the publication of the surveys.

The ideal candidate will be either a Paralegal or foreign qualified lawyer with an Insolvency Law background and experience in understanding and working with Derivatives and ISDA work or familiarity with these areas. The successful Paralegal will provide general support to the Structured Finance Practice. You should have excellent relationship-building skills, the ability to establish yourself as a trusted team member, and strong commercial awareness. You will be an excellent communicator, able to engage effectively with stakeholders of all seniorities to facilitate business outcomes.

To be considered, you must be a legal professional with a 2:1 Degree (or equivalent), possess the LPC/BPTC or be an experienced overseas qualified lawyer with full rights to work in the UK. You must have Insolvency, Derivatives and/or ISDA experience and proven experience of successfully delivering legal work, preferably within another international law firm.
