Operational Risk / Risk Control Analyst
Operational Risk Analyst | London | Up to £55,000 Base plus Bonus and Benefits – Hybrid
Taylor Root has partnered with a small financial services company that was founded in 1967. Offering highly individualised service throughout all international branches, they offer corporate personal, private, and correspondent banking solutions.
Some of the duties include:
- Support the governance structure and operational risk infrastructure of the bank.
- Recognise, monitor, and fix bank-wide business operations vulnerabilities. These include commercial risks, but are not limited to solutions for compliance assurance that also lessen security, IT, business continuity, and environmental hazards to safeguard the corporate infrastructure.
- Develop programmes for risk assurance, vulnerability management, and risk remediation, and assist in their implementation.
- Control and compile data. RERs, Key Risk Indicators, Loss and Risk Registers, Group Risk Reporting, and booking losses are a few examples.
- Complete management of customer surveys as part of the conduct risk programme for the bank
- Participate in the bank’s Operational and Technology Committee meetings, which includes recording minutes and writing them up.
What we’re looking for:
- Experience in an Operational Risk Role or Risk Control Office role
- The ability to talk to communicate at all levels is key as the job requires interaction with all departments and branches across the company
- Common sense, good judgement, a professional manner and confidentiality are also important
- The ability to take on new challenges and responsibilities
- Experience in the financial services industry is an advantage but not essential.
- Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint is also necessary.
