I have partnered with a diversified financial services platform in search for an Operational Risk Analyst to work closely with the Operational Risk Manager and face off to senior members of staff.

The candidate will play a key role in supporting the business and will have exposure to senior members of staff. The candidate will need to be confident and tenacious as they will need to be comfortable liaising and challenging key stakeholders.

Some of the duties include:

  • Support line management and the business functions with the identification, measurement, monitoring and mitigation of operational risks
  • Working with all departments, further develop and manage Risk and Control Self-Assessment across the business
  • Oversight of day-to-day Operational Risk activities such as risk event capture, analysis and reporting
  • Develop and maintain risk policies and processes in accordance with all relevant regulations
  • Participate in assessing the risk aspects of potential new products and services
  • Investigations and reviews in response to risk incidents
  • Production of reports for management meetings and Risk Committees
  • Maintain a proactive understanding of new and upcoming regulatory changes

The successful candidate will have the following experience:

  • Experience of Risk management/Operational Risk gained within the financial services industry
  • Had exposure to and/or holds an in-depth understanding of the Risk and Control Self-Assessment process
  • Good data, reporting and presentation skills
  • Good communication skills (both oral and written)
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint & Excel).
  • Moderate/high competence with Excel (essential), Pivot tables, VLOOKUP formulae and data analysis (preferred).
