About the company

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a non-contentious construction lawyer to join a leading British reconstruction and regeneration group. They are a group of specialist businesses, delivering construction and regeneration across the UK. They operate through five divisions: Construction & Infrastructure, Fit Out, Property Services, Partnership Housing, and Urban Regeneration. The Construction and Infrastructure business works across the rail, highways, energy, water, and nuclear sectors delivering projects of national importance to some of the biggest public sector clients in the UK.

About the role

This role sits within the Construction & Infrastructure business, reporting into the Head of Legal. This role will work closely with senior commercial stakeholders to review, negotiate, and draft construction documentation and provide commercially focussed advice and solutions. The role will also involve providing advice and support in relation to contractual interpretation, mitigation of delivery risks and administration of contracts.

About you

The ideal candidate will be 4+PQE, with non-contentious construction experience. Candidates will have ideally worked in-house or within a reputable private practice construction team. They will also have knowledge of main standard forms of contract (primarily NEC3 and 4, Network Rail). This opportunity would suit someone who wants to join a community of diverse individuals who play an invaluable role in shaping the UK’s infrastructure and contributing to long-term sustainable growth.

Please note our advertisements use PQE/salary levels purely as a guide. However we are happy to consider applications from all candidates who are able to demonstrate the skills necessary to fulfil the role.
