Leveraged Finance Specialist
Our client, an elite US law firm, is seeking a Leveraged Finance Specialist to join their Global Leverage Finance practice group in London on a permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a highly talented team of lawyers, supporting them in the efficient management of their matter portfolio.
As a Leveraged Finance Specialist, you will be responsible for collecting and validating information required for an efficient revenue management cycle. This includes coordinating with Partners, Associates and Support Staff and Billing Team to ensure complete and accurate collection of client and matter data at opening, maintaining matter data validation checklist, and managing any key deadlines. You will also be responsible for being the key point of contact for Outside Counsel for the team, ensuring that required information from Outside Counsel such as fee quotes and invoices are provided on a timely basis, and managing the quote validation and invoice approval process with Lead Partner/Associates.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have previous experience in a similar practice support, paralegal, or legal project management role for transactional legal work, a good understanding of Law Firm client matter lifecycle processes, plus 3+ years of experience in a professional environment. You should be competent in MS Office applications, particularly Excel, and have the ability to work independently and as part of a team. You will also need to be proactive, resilient, and calm under pressure, with a proven track record of embedding new ways of working. Additionally, you should be an excellent communicator, both written and verbal, and have the ability to partner and engage effectively with stakeholders of all seniorities to facilitate business outcomes.
In return for your skills and experience, our client offers the opportunity to work with a highly talented team of lawyers, complex work, unique challenges, and inspiring results. You will also benefit from real collaboration and a supportive environment where you’ll learn and grow professionally and personally.
If you are an experienced legal professional with good business acumen and an ability to work with numbers and financial/commercial concepts, along with the desire to work for an elite US law firm, then this is the opportunity for you. This role would be well suited to an experienced Paralegal or Lawyer seeking a move into a junior project management role, but the firm would also be open to considering legal billing specialists looking for a more involved role.
