Legal Director, Commercial
SENIOR LEVEL COMMERCIAL LAWYER – PERM – HYBRID WORKING
Taylor Root has been exclusively instructed to find an outstanding Legal Director (Commercial) for an incredible and leading not-for-profit organisation focusing on climate change and environmental issues worldwide.
As part of this truly global business, you will deliver legal support for all commercial arrangements including contracting, training, legal advice and guidance to the commercial and product teams.
Responsibilities will include ensuring that the business gains the best value from its commercial arrangements, delivers quality commerciaL deals and high-quality efficient contract management to enable the organisation to meet its ambitious growth targets. You will set standards, coach and guide the rest of the team on best practice as you work in tandem across the Directorate on understanding their issues and as you deliver suitable standards to maximise its mission to use data to drive climate change responses.
The successful applicant will be qualified in England & Wales with a minimum of 8 years+ post qualification experience and will have extensive in-house experience with expertise in contracts/commercial law, technology, IP (with an understanding of data privacy). Strong experience of building close collaborative working relationships with international commercial teams is crucial. Solid legal operations expertise is also key. You will be approachable, a great communicator with a team mentality and demonstrate excellent judgement and pragmatism.
The role is permanent and full time, but the business offers great flexibility with good hybrid working in an adult, self-driven working environment which is judged on your output and delivery.
