About the role

– Chartering & Transportation: Oversee the global movement of dry bulk commodities, utilizing both time and voyage-based charters.

– Legal & Maritime Claims: Manage P&I and FD&D claims, providing legal counsel and keeping all stakeholders informed.

– Contract Drafting & Review: Create clauses addressing specific operational and commercial requirements, while offering advice on charter party agreements, bills of lading, and other shipping contracts.

– Claims & Dispute Management: Lead the resolution of disputes, negotiate settlements, and work closely with teams to develop strategic approaches.

– Insurer Coordination: Ensure timely reporting of claims to insurers and manage necessary documentation.

– Claims Records & Payment Oversight: Track and update claims in the database, ensuring proper processing of payments in compliance with regulations.

About you

3+ years of experience in maritime law.

Master’s degree in Maritime Law.

Knowledge of common law is an advantage.

Fluent in English; additional languages are beneficial.

Strong analytical skills, collaborative mindset, and proactive approach.
