Reporting directly to the General Counsel, you will be responsible for corporate work and will be expected to lead M&A transactions and litigation matters.

Ideally you are a qualified lawyer with at least 10 years’ experience, having worked at a top tier law firm and have gained a solid track record in handling legal matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the General Counsel on a broad range of legal matters to accomplish corporate goals, strategies and priorities.
  • Support business development and inorganic growth activity, including complex and high value transactions
  • Assist in the drafting of policies, guidelines, legal templates and other necessary documents to promote best practices
  • Assist in other duties and special projects as requested by the General Counsel

Key Requirements:

  • Possess a law degree with a strong academic background with at least 10 years PQE handling general corporate legal work such as M&A, joint ventures, financing, labour and employment issues, intellectual property issues, commercial contracts and litigation.
  • Experience in structuring negotiating and documenting M&A, venture capital and PE investments
  • Strong interpersonal skills oriented to effective verbal and written communication, problem-solving and assertiveness.
