Our client, a global leader in live entertainment, is seeking a Legal Counsel to join their in-house legal team in London. This is a unique opportunity to work at the heart of international acquisitions, venue development, and corporate expansion across the EMEA region and beyond.

About the Role

As Legal Counsel, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the group’s strategic growth initiatives, including acquisitions, joint ventures, and new market entries. Reporting to the SVP Legal – Corporate and Venue Development, you’ll work closely with senior stakeholders across legal, M&A, finance, and business development teams. This role offers exposure to high-value, cross-border transactions and the chance to shape the future of live entertainment globally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support M&A, venue development, and financing activities across the EMEA region.
  • Lead legal workstreams on new deals, including structuring, due diligence, documentation, and closing.
  • Draft and negotiate key transaction documents such as SPAs, SHAs, and confidentiality agreements.
  • Manage external counsel relationships, budgets, and deliverables across jurisdictions.
  • Advise on legal requirements for market entry and business licensing.
  • Coordinate post-close integration activities and corporate housekeeping.
  • Collaborate with internal teams on merger clearance and regulatory matters.
  • Maintain deal trackers and prepare regular updates for senior management.

About You

  • Qualified lawyer, entitled to practise in the UK, Ireland, or a similar jurisdiction.
  • Likely 3-6 years PQE in corporate, acquisitions, or financing law (in-house or private practice).
  • Proven experience managing transactions from inception to completion.
  • Strong cross-border and multi-jurisdictional experience is highly desirable.
  • Comfortable working independently and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills, with a proactive and flexible approach.
  • Experience in the entertainment sector is not required, but an interest in the industry is a plus.
