An exciting position has arisen to join the legal team of this well-known publishing company.

Responsibilities will include reviewing, drafting, negotiating and advising on a wide range of commercial contracts; advising on publishing, defamation and media law matters both domestically and internationally; working directly with the business, providing objective analysis of risks that relate to commercial and consumer law, copyright and other intellectual property matters and to provide solutions to satisfy legal and business requirements.

To be successful you must have a strong academic background and trained at a highly regarded law firm or in-house. They will consider candidates who have qualified into Commercial, TMT, Corporate or IP departments and they are happy to up-skill and develop experience. Ideally you will have also completed an in-house secondment or currently be working in-house.

You will have the ability to work autonomously, think strategically and creatively and communicate clearly and precisely. You must be enthusiastic, proactive, enjoy working hard and being challenged, and demonstrate sound judgment. You will be able to work in a fast paced environment and become an integral part of the legal team.
